Glenda Lewis
Glenda Lewis is a freelance science writer and communications advisor, based in Wellington. She works exclusively for science research organisations. Her Churchill Fellowship helped open opportunities to write for two top New Zealand magazines, and Stuff, a leading news provider. The articles for her Fellowship project also helped gain her admission to the very competitive creative (non-fiction) writing course at Victoria University’s International Institute of Modern Letters. As well as her MA in creative writing, Glenda has a BSc in Physics, and a BA in English Literature from Victoria University. Before freelancing, she was communications manager for the Royal Society of NZ. In recent years, she has specialised in science related to evolutionary biology, food and nutrition, land use, and sustainability. She learnt a lot about farming and land use issues on her Fellowship sojourn in Oxfordshire. It opened her eyes to many things.
